How Jack has done so far

update on the national finals , we travelled to Yorkshire on saturday the 8th March Jack had plenty of support 2 x 16 seater minibuses.
Sad to say, Jack lost on points, however let me tell you he fought like a gladiator he could have tried no harder he had a very strong opponant who stopped 4 of his last 5 opponants and his 5th opponant had won 8 of his 9 fights but still managed to put him on his backside in the last round, so when you look at it properly jack did very well fighting toe to toe making the other lads nose bleed. All said and done not bad to lose your first bout in the national finals ?
As jack got out the ring he was lifted high in the air everybody applauded him in the arena, you have heard of the expression every cloud has a silver lining , well this one certainly did as Jack was held in the air , him in tears one of jacks trainers quickly informed him and showed a letter from the ABA congratulating him, informing him that Jack has been selected to box in the England squad representing Great Britain, tears turned into smiles
If all goes well he will be flying out to Ireland to fight for his country, not so bad after all ah..


Update on our jacks boxing, he boxed at Sheffield yesterday 10th April, England against 3 nations he boxed against Scotland. Yes he won, he might be flying to Croatia in June.

Jack fights for England again

Sheffield institute of sport on Friday 11th April 2008, his opponant was Sam Ball representing Scotland.
The competition was The Three Nations,  Jack won a silver medal in this tournament , Jack has now boxed for england 3 times.

England v Ireland May 18th 2008

JACK FLEW OUT TO REPRESENT ENGLAND AGAINST IRELAND ON THE 18TH MAY BOXED A LAD WHO HAD HAD 35 FIGHTS , JACK HAS ONLY HAD 10, LOST BY 1 POINT .
JACK HAD A BEAUTIFUL LETTER OFF THE LONDON BOXING ASSOCIATION

He fought and won on points against the champion  from the Belfast team , it was at Chester, The Crowne Plaza Hotel , charity night part of the tv programme 'Secret Millionaire' raising monies for 2 boxing clubs in Belfast a few celebs were there  world champion Robin Ried , John Conti who awarded Jack his trophy, Chicco from x factor, footballer John Barnes and more all in all a great night for a good cause.
